    Anki sync
    📱 Anki sync runs from your PC (Anki desktop + AnkiConnect). Open Shelf on your PC with Anki running and your highlights sync there.

    Use {title} and {author}. Note types Shelf Basic and Shelf Cloze are created in Anki if missing.

    Auto-sync new & edited highlights (when Anki is reachable)
    Remove notes for deleted highlights

    First-time setup (2 minutes)
    1. In Anki desktop: Tools → Add-ons → Get Add-ons…, paste code 2055492159 (AnkiConnect), then restart Anki.
    2. Tools → Add-ons → select AnkiConnect → Config. Set webCorsOriginList so it includes this site:

    3. Click OK and restart Anki. Keep Anki open while syncing.
    4. Open Shelf on the same PC in Chrome, Edge or Firefox and press Test connection. If the browser asks to allow access to devices on your local network, choose Allow.

    Safari and iPhone can't talk to AnkiConnect. Use the PC, or export an .apkg from a book's Highlights panel.
